The crazy spring and summer markets have come to an end and shockingly, the market is still on fire! People in our area have been experiencing the upswing of the real estate market for the last two years with strong home prices but this year is a bit different than the last with a very low market inventory. What does that mean for all of the sellers out there? People are looking for your house!
Talking to lenders, agents and buyers in the market, there are still so many people out shopping for homes and not finding what they are looking for. Homes at prices that first-time buyers can afford are flying off of the market in days due to the low inventory of homes for sale for sale making it difficult to fill the demand and forcing people to continue their shopping well into the fall. This is a great time for sellers with starter homes to get a great price on the sale of their home, putting money in their pockets to move up in the market to their dream homes where the homes are on the market longer and there are a few more options available.
If you are thinking of selling your home but just not sure if it’s the right time, it’s best to get an idea of where you are sitting in your home. You may, like many sellers today, may be shocked at the prices that homes are bringing on the market. Getting a market analysis with most agents is free and most people find enjoy getting an outside opinion on the value of their home and a bit of information on the homes selling in theirs and surrounding neighborhoods.
